GRANTS AND GIFTS
Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wis., has received a $550,000 gift from the estate of Louis and Arlene Phillips. The gift will establish the L.L. Phillips Family Fund for Rehabilitation and Therapies.
St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, Henderson, Nev., has received two grants totaling nearly $340,000 from Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Southern Nevada. The grants will be used for the hospital's breast health programs.
AWARD
Dr. Thomas C. Royer, former chief executive, CHRISTUS Health, Irving, Texas, has received the American Hospital Association's Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes significant lifetime contributions and service to the nation's health care institutions and associations.
