Sr. Euart is on the CHA Board of Trustees. She is executive director of the Resource Center for Religious Institutes and a canon lawyer with extensive experience serving the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis identified the study groups. The topics they will address will be those reported in the  Synthesis Report of the first session of the Synod on Synodality.

Sr. Euart is working with a study group concerned with the revision of documents that address the relationship between bishops and those in consecrated life and ecclesial associations. Included in the group's mandate is an examination of the relationship between the episcopal conferences of bishops and the conferences of major superiors of religious worldwide.

Sr. Euart is serving on the subgroup that will be looking specifically at the relationship between bishops and consecrated persons, that is, those dedicated totally to God, with a particular focus on the revision of the  Vatican instruction Mutual Relations. The subgroup includes bishops and representatives of women's and men's religious institutes and secular institutes.

An initial report of the study group was presented during the first week of the second session of the synod this month and final recommendations will be made to Pope Francis in June.

"It is an honor to be part of a group of bishops and consecrated women and men representing the experience of the universal church," Sr. Euart said. "As we move forward in addressing our mandate, we hope to do so from a synodal missionary perspective as Pope Francis has requested of each of the 10 study groups."
