Faithful Guidance for Health Care Ethics

Modern medicine is advancing faster than ever before, offering exciting applications for life-saving technologies, but increasingly, ethical ambiguity in matters that challenge the very nature of our humanity in relation to God, each other, and ourselves.

Navigating these issues requires space for inquiry and reflection. It requires a thorough understanding of the theological, moral, and social teaching of the Church. But critically, it also requires humility, openness, and dialogue across disciplinary boundaries — medical science, social science, philosophy, law, and psychology.

The Center for Theology and Ethics in Catholic Health is dedicated to creating the space, time, and forum to delve into these issues and offer faithful guidance that leaders and clinicians in Catholic health and the Church can apply in their ministries.
