Kelly Stuart, MD, MPH, MTS, MSNDR has a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in the field of ethics. Stuart currently holds the position of Vice President of Ethics at Bon Secours Mercy Health, starting in August 2020. Bon Secours Mercy Health is leading the way in strategically and nimbly transforming healthcare delivery and services.
Before this, Stuart served as the executive director of physician ethics at Bon Secours Mercy Health System, where she played a leadership role in clinical ethics, physician leadership development, conflict engagement, interprofessional collaboration, clinical ethics consultation, community engagement, and creative problem-solving. She has a particular interest in ethical engagement in the Catholic healthcare setting, and previously, she served as the vice president of mission and ethics at Bon Secours Health System.
Stuart holds a Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She obtained a Master's degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University, a Master's degree in Public Health from the Uniformed Services University, and a Master's degree in Theology and Theological Studies from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University. Stuart has further certifications, such as being a Herrmann Digital Certified Practitioner from Herrmann, a Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant from the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, and a Certified Executive Coach from the Center for Executive Coaching.
