CHA Book Club: Living Our Shared Identity

CHA is pleased to announce the third season of its book club, uniting those who serve the ministry as we continue the healing ministry of Jesus in the world today. CHA Book Club: Living Our Shared Identity will feature books that connect to the values of Catholic health care, based on our Shared Statement of Identity. Together, we will explore topics that inspire compassionate care, foster community, and deepen our commitment to the ministry.

New this year, participants can register for each session separately and choose to purchase the books in whatever format or from whatever source they prefer — making it easier than ever to join the conversation in a way that works best for you.

Book: The Spirit of Hope by Byung-Chul Han
The e-book can be ordered  here.

Conversation One: Transforming Hurt into Hope
The first book, The Spirit of Hope by Byung-Chul Han, explores the concept of hope as a vital force in countering the pervasive climate of fear in contemporary society. CHA’s Sr. Teresa Maya and Karla Keppel will facilitate the conversation, offering opportunities to reflect on key points related to our work in the ministry and our call by the larger Church to be Pilgrims of Hope in this Jubilee year.
