Joseph Impicciche named board chair of the Catholic Health Association's (CHA) Board of Trustees for 2024-2025
ST. LOUIS — The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) announced that Ascension Chief Executive Officer Joseph Impicciche, JD, MHA, will serve as chairperson of CHA's Board of Trustees for 2024-25.
Mr. Impicciche's installation ceremony as chairperson took place this week at CHA’s annual national Assembly in San Diego, California. His term begins July 1, and he will serve until June 30, 2025.
CHA, founded in 1915, advances the Catholic health ministry of the United States in caring for people and communities. Comprised of more than 650 hospitals and 1,600 long-term care and other health facilities in all 50 states, the Catholic health ministry
is the largest group of nonprofit health care providers in the nation. Every day, more than one in seven patients in the U.S. is cared for in a Catholic hospital.

Impicciche leads Ascension's mission to provide compassionate, personalized care to all, especially those most in need. Impicciche was named one of the Most Influential People in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare from 2019 through 2022.

In addition to Impicciche's appointment, Orest Holubec, Providence, Executive Vice President and Chief Communication Officer, has been elected as the FY25 Vice Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect along with the following board member appointments: Rachelle
Barina, Hospital Sisters Health System, Chief Mission Officer / Senior Vice President Mission; Kendra Calhoun, Avera Health, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communications & Digital Strategy; Anna Newsom, Providence St. Joseph Health, Chief
Legal Officer; and John Starcher, Bon Secours Mercy Health, President and Chief Executive Officer.
