Lord, as we gather here before this table, we pause to give thanks for the bounty of the earth from which this meal came forth. We give thanks also for the hands that harvested it, prepared it, and now serve it. We remember that all we have in this world is first a gift from you that requires the collaboration of human hands. Through our sharing in this food, may we be nourished in heart, mind, and body, so that in the work of this meeting we, too, might more fully collaborate in bringing to fruition the gifts that you have given to us and the world of Catholic health care.
