Lord Jesus,
you speak your word to us in all moments of our lives.
During this National Hearing and Speech Month,
increase our awareness of the challenges that so many face
in their ability to communicate with others.
Strengthen them and encourage all who labor
to help those faced with these daily challenges.
Above all, help each of us to listen for your word in one another
and to reach out to share that word with all who hunger for you.
We ask this in your holy and blessed and life-giving name,
Jesus Christ, our Lord.
