Patient Safety Awareness Week is annual celebrated the first full week in March.
There is one thing I ask of the Lord, for this I long,
to live in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life….
For there God keeps me safe in the day of evil.
The Lord hides me in the shelter of his tent,
on a rock God sets me safe.
(Psalm 27:4-5)
Beloved Father,
you dwell within all those you have made.
When we dwell there with you,
we find peace and safety beyond anything we can imagine.
Give us that shelter whenever we need, dear Father,
and help us to offer this same place of safety to others,
to our patients and their families in particular.
Make of us conscientious coworkers in the care and safekeeping
of all who come to us in their time of need.
We pray in the name of your Son, Christ Jesus, and in the Holy Spirit,
God forever.
