Pilgrims of Hope, On Hope and Healing

“Hope is not passive; it is an active trust in God’s promises and an essential part of our Christian identity. It is the pilgrimage of our lives—a journey of grace that shapes who we are and who we are becoming.”

“We foster healing, act with compassion, and promote wellness for
all persons and communities.”

Pope Francis describes hope as a journey of grace, cultivated in connection with the Divine and one another. On a path of hope, we are never alone - God's gracious compassion is always poured out on us. On a path of hope, we never fully arrive - healing is always available regardless of a cure. What is hope to you? What role does it play in your work to continue Jesus's healing ministry?

Let us pray—
In our mission to extend compassionate care like You modeled, may we be a light within our
communities, working together for justice and advocating for those in need.
God of hope, move our hearts.

As we work to love our neighbors as You do, may we overflow with the mercy You freely give so that
all may know what it means to belong to the family of God.
God of hope, move our hands.

In Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, You show us how Your faithful and compassionate love
established eternal hope for all. When our trust wavers, steady us in Your unrelenting goodness and
the certainty that You always make a way.
God of hope, move our feet.
AMEN
