Sr. Mary Mollison, CSA, a health care, congregational and higher education leader who advanced projects by counseling the common good, died June 30 at age 70.

Educated as a nurse, Sr. Mollison was later a driving force in the creation of Agnesian HealthCare in Fond du Lac, Wis., with the 1996 partnership of St. Agnes Hospital and the Fond du Lac Regional Clinics. She served in a variety of leadership roles, including general vicar and superior general of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, and was vice president of spirituality and care transitions for Agnesian HealthCare. She twice stepped in to lead as acting president at Marian University in Fond du Lac during searches for permanent presidents. She led the Leadership Conference of Women Religious as its president in 2000-2001. She was the first chair of Catholic Health Ministries, the public juridic person and sponsor of Trinity Health of Livonia, Mich.
In 2015, Sr. Mollison received CHA's Lifetime Achievement Award for her many contributions to the ministry and to the communities she served.
Sr. Jean Steffes, the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes' general superior, described Sr. Mollison in a statement as a driving force of energy and creativity in the arenas of Catholic health care and religious life leadership. "She has championed mission at all levels in Catholic health care, and made charity care and compassionate outreach a hallmark of her ministry. Her work with Catholic hospital systems across the nation and with religious congregations across the globe has provided a lasting impact on these ministries and communities."
Sr. Mollison's funeral Mass was held on July 10 at Holy Family Catholic church, with private burial services at St. Joseph Springs Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
