PRESIDENTS/CEOS

D. Montez Carter to president of St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, Ga., from interim president.

Dr. Mohan Suntha to president and chief executive of the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore from vice chairman of the department of radiation oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. St. Joseph's ownership transitioned from Englewood Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives to the University of Maryland Medical System on Dec. 1.

Providence Health & Services has made these changes: Gerald "Jerry" Clute to chief executive at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, Calif., from president and chief executive of California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles; Lori Van Zanten to chief executive for Providence Health & Services' Yamhill Service Area in Newberg, Ore., from chief operating and nursing officer for Providence Newberg Medical Center; and Chris Bosworth to administrator at Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Wash.

Phil McCorkle will retire next summer as chief executive of Saint Mary's Health Care, Grand Rapids, Mich.

Nathan Olson to resign as chief executive of St. Francis Medical Center, Colorado Springs, Colo., to become president and chief executive of St. Peter's Hospital in Helena, Mont.

Mercy of Chesterfield, Mo., has announced these changes: Tim Johnsen resigned as president of Mercy Hot Springs, in Hot Springs, Ark., and accepted the position of president of Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City; Randy Combs to executive vice president of strategic growth for the Mercy system; and Tracey Biles to vice president of mission services for Mercy Kansas Communities, which includes Mercy Hospital Independence in Independence, Kan., and Mercy Hospital Fort Scott in Fort Scott, Kan.

Mark Wiener resigned as president and chief executive of Community Mercy Health Partners in Springfield, Ohio.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES

Scott Nordlund to executive vice president for enterprise strategy and innovation development at Trinity Health in Livonia, Mich.

Ron Galonsky to chief operations and integration officer of Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, Calif.

Renee Sidley to chief nursing officer of Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., and Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.

Jill Mowry to executive director of strategy and business development for SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, Mo.

GRANTS

The Asian Liver Center at Holy Name Medical Center, Teaneck, N.J., received a $75,000 grant from the Gilead Foundation to be used to increase awareness of, and screening for, hepatitis B.

ANNIVERSARIES

St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, Ill., 125 years.

Mercy Hospital Springfield, Mo., 60 years.

NAME CHANGE

Saint John's Health System, Anderson, Ind., will change its name to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital in January.
