PRESIDENTS/CEOs
Jason Alexander to senior vice president of St. Louis' Ascension Healthcare, and Birmingham, Ala., ministry market executive and president and chief executive of St. Vincent's Health System of Birmingham. He was chief executive of East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, S.C., part of Tenet Healthcare Corp. He will replace Neeysa Biddle, who is retiring, effective June 30. She plans to continue working as part of the newly created Ascension Consulting Network.

Dr. Christopher Sprowl to president of SSM Health Dean Medical Group, Madison, Wis.

Jeanne DeMarzo to vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer at Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center of Yonkers, N.Y.

Dr. Gary A. Hagens to chief medical officer at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital 
of Belleville, Ill.

Kim Meeker to chief nursing officer for Saint Agnes Medical Center of Fresno, Calif.

Rhonda Thompson to chief nursing officer of the Children's Hospital of San Antonio, part of CHRISTUS Health of Irving, Texas.

Jeff Pike to vice president of physician relations, business development and strategy for Mercy Medical Center of Canton, Ohio.

GIFT/GRANT
The Nicholson Foundation has given $640,000 to the Passaic County Health Coalition, which is comprised of St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center of Paterson, N.J., and a network of community-based organizations. The coalition will use the funds to implement and expand initiatives to improve the health of low-income residents of Paterson.

HONOR
Dr. Elizabeth Murphy, vice president and chief nursing officer at Mercy Health Saint Mary's of Grand Rapids, Mich., will receive the 2017 Clinical Nurse Leader Visionary Leader Award Feb. 22 from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. This is the highest honor the association bestows. The award recognizes practice leaders making significant contributions to advancing clinical nurse leadership.
