Jack Ivie to president of Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center in Glendale, Calif., from vice president and chief operating officer of St. Bernardine Medical Center and Community Hospital in San Bernardino, Calif.
Dr. John Koster will retire as president and chief executive of Providence Health & Services in Renton, Wash., at the end of the year. An internal search is under way for his successor.
Sr. Sheila Lyne, RSM, will retire as president and chief executive of Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago. She will continue as chief executive until a successor is named and the transition is complete.

GRANTS AND GIFTS
The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has provided these grants: St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont., received $5.25 million to expand cancer services of the Big Horn Basin Regional Cancer Center in Cody, Wyo.; and Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., received $4.2 million to expand radiation oncology services at the Avera Cancer Institute.
