John Barrett to chief executive, Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center, Norfolk, Va., from executive vice president and chief operating officer, Appalachian Regional Healthcare System, Boone, N.C.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES

Bonnie Schmitz to vice president and chief financial officer, Agnesian HealthCare, Fond du Lac, Wis.

Odette Bolano to network chief operating officer, Carondelet Health Network, Tucson, Ariz.

Bernie Jore to vice president and chief nursing officer, St. Mary's of Michigan, Saginaw, Mich.

Patricia Robertson to vice president of finance, Mercy Health System of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City.

GRANTS AND GIFTS

St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, Minn., has received a $1 million gift from the Anderson family of companies, St. Cloud. The gift will be used in the development of a new intensive care unit at the hospital.

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers, Torrance, Calif., has received a $991,770 grant from UniHealth Foundation for a simulation program to advance quality and safety.

Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter, St. Peter, Minn., has received a $275,000 gift of Cambria products from the Davis Family to use in the development of a senior housing facility. Martin Davis heads Cambria, which makes granite surface products.

St. Bernards Development Foundations, Jonesboro, Ark., has received from the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure two grants totaling more than $160,000 for programs providing breast cancer services to the uninsured.

AWARDS

Sr. Jomary Trstensky, OSF, has received the 2010 Marshfield Clinic Heritage Award for her significant contributions to the community. Sr. Trstensky is the provincial superior, Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, Springfield, Ill.

Sr. Mary Norberta Malinowski, CSSF, president and chief executive, St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor, Maine, was honored by the State of Maine Legislature during a legislative sentiment ceremony. The body recognized Sr. Malinowski's exceptional service and contributions to health care.
