GIFTS AND GRANTS The Children's Hospital of San Antonio has received a $1.5 million grant to establish a pediatric blood and marrow transplant program. The donation from the Najim Family Foundation will enable the hospital to provide inpatient and outpatient treatment for children diagnosed with cancer or certain blood disorders. Harvey E. Najim, president of the foundation, is founder and chairman emeritus of San Antonio-based Sirius Computer Solutions.
HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation of Eau Claire, Wis., has received a $100,000 endowment for surgical nursing education from the estate of Annabel Bauer. Bauer was a nurse, an Army veteran, a college dean and an educator with the World Bank.
