PRESIDENTS/CEOs
Mercy Health of Cincinnati has made these changes in its Cincinnati region: Michael W. Garfield to chief executive and senior vice president of that region, from chief operating officer. He succeeds John Starcher, who became president and chief executive of Mercy in March. Also, David Fikse to chief operating officer, Dr. Erin Fries to chief clinical officer, Dr. Justin McGoldrick to chief medical officer – acute care and Dr. Cari Ogg to chief medical officer of Mercy Health Physicians.

Chicago's Presence Health has a new leadership structure for its south suburban region that includes Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill., and Presence St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Ill. Lowell Johnson to chief executive of the region, from interim chief of Presence Health's northwest Chicago region, which includes Presence Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Ill., and Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Kathleen Rhine, who was president and chief executive of the south suburban region, will continue as chief executive of Presence St. Mary's Hospital until a new leader is selected for that facility. Johnson will focus on the Joliet facility.

At Centura Health of Englewood, Colo., separate executives now will hold the president and chief executive roles, instead of one executive holding both roles. Peter D. Banko will serve as president and chief operating officer, effective May 1. Gary S. Campbell will continue as chief executive. Banko was senior vice president, group executive officer and chief integration officer of Catholic Health Initiatives of Englewood. CHI and Adventist Health System sponsor Centura.

ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES
Mercy Health of Cincinnati has made these changes: Drew Banks to chief strategy officer. Dr. Randall Curnow to chief medical officer of Mercy Health and president of Mercy Health Select, Mercy Health's clinically integrated network. Dr. Anton Decker to chief clinical officer of the system; and he will continue as president of Mercy Health Physicians, Mercy Health's employed physician group practice. Brian Smith to chief operating officer.

Presence Health of Chicago has made these changes: Jim Kelley to system chief financial officer and Pamela Mitchell-Boyd to system director for diversity, inclusion and language services.

Facilities within Hospital Sisters Health System of Springfield, Ill., have made these changes: Judith Balcitis to chief nursing officer of HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., and Charlene S. Aaron to chancellor of St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield.

PeaceHealth of Vancouver, Wash., and its facilities have made these changes: Carol Aaron to PeaceHealth chief administrative officer, Ron Benfield to chief financial officer for the PeaceHealth Columbia Network and Wade Hunt to chief operating officer of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. The Columbia Network includes PeaceHealth Southwest and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash.

Trinity Health of Livonia, Mich., and its facilities have made these changes: Sheri Shapiro to senior vice president, mergers and acquisitions and partnership development and Chuck Fennell to regional chief information officer at St. Peter's Health Partners of Albany, N.Y., and of St. Joseph's Health in Syracuse, N.Y.

SSM Health of St. Louis and its facilities have announced these changes: Don Eggleston, system vice president, mission integration, will retire, effective May 10.

Dr. Nirav Patel to chief medical officer of SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital of St. Louis. Dr. Kevin L. Lewis to president of the physicians' organization and ambulatory services for St. Anthony Physicians Group, SSM Health in Oklahoma, based in Oklahoma City.

Todd Brower to senior vice president and general counsel for St. Joseph's Healthcare System in Paterson, N.J.

GIFTS AND GRANTS
Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center in Glendale, Calif., has received a $795,000 grant from the UniHealth Foundation for the hospital's new integrated supportive care initiative. The goal of that initiative is to establish a structured approach to providing timely care for patients with chronic conditions and at high risk of readmission.

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center of Mission Hills, Calif., has received a two-year, $447,000 grant from the UniHealth Foundation to create a simulation program to help prepare hospital clinicians and others to manage patients' childbirth crises. Funds also will provide for nursing student rotations at three Providence Health & Services facilities in California including Holy Cross.

Providence Health & Services' Center for Medically Fragile Children in Portland, Ore., has received a $105,822 donation from Carr Subaru Beaverton and Subaru of America. The funds raised through a Share the Love customer event will support the around-the-clock care provided at the center for young people with profound disabilities and complex medical needs.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center, San Antonio, 30 years.
