CommonSpirit Health has bought 42 acres south of Denver for a future health campus.
The parcel is in the Meridian community, one of the fastest-growing regions of the state, the health system said in announcing plans for the campus Nov. 8. Construction is expected to start in the third quarter of 2025.
A press release said that the campus "will showcase a holistic approach to health care, creating spaces where a wide array of treatments will support patients' current and future medical needs." It also said the campus will include spaces "where community members can improve their overall health and well-being through physical activity and whole-health experiences."
"With CommonSpirit's expansive network of high-performing hospitals, clinics and caregivers, we are uniquely positioned to serve the people who live and work in this area," Andrew Gaasch, CommonSpirit's mountain region president, said in a statement. "We are committed to transforming how and where health care can happen, and with 12 of our region's 20 hospitals spanning from Durango to Frisco, from Canon City to Longmont, the south metro campus will allow us to connect communities across the state, serving as an important hub for providing innovative, compassionate care to our neighbors."
More details about the project, such as the estimated cost, opening date, and planned services, were not available.
