Dr. Joseph Cacchione to senior vice president of St. Louis' Ascension Healthcare and ministry market executive, Ascension Michigan. He was interim Michigan ministry market executive. He also will continue as chief executive of Ascension Medical Group.
Catholic Health Initiatives of Englewood, Colo., and subsidiaries have announced these changes: Dr. Brian Erling to chief executive of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services of Colorado Springs, Colo., from interim chief executive. Janelle Reilly to market chief executive of CHI Memorial of Chattanooga, Tenn., from CHI Memorial president and chief operating officer. Larry Schumacher, who was CHI Memorial's market chief executive, will now focus exclusively on his role as senior vice president, CHI divisional operations, southeast division.
Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health has announced these changes: Chris Karam to senior vice president of group operations for CHRISTUS Health's Louisiana and southeast Texas operations and president and chief executive of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Health System in Alexandria, La. Karam was president and chief executive of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. CHRISTUS St. Michael Chief Operating Officer Jason Rounds will be interim president and chief executive for CHRISTUS St. Michael. Karam replaces Stephen Wrightand Nancy Hellyer. Wright is retiring as CHRISTUS Health's senior vice president of group operations for Louisiana and southeast Texas. Hellyer has departed as president and chief executive of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini.

This is a newly created position. Cyndy B. Dunlap to chief nursing officer of Providence Healthcare Network in Waco, Texas. Pam Hess to chief financial officer for Saint Thomas Midtown and Saint Thomas West Hospitals, part of Saint Thomas Health of Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Baligh Yehia to chief medical officer of Ascension Medical Group.
Dr. Matthew Hanley to chief clinical officer of SSM Health of St. Louis.
Janice G. Murphy to senior vice president of mission and ministry for Sisters of Charity Health System of Cleveland.
Di Smalley to the new position of senior vice president of workforce solutions for Mercy of Chesterfield, Mo. She was regional president of Mercy in Oklahoma. Donn Sorensen, Mercy executive vice president of operations across Mercy, will additionally become Oklahoma regional president, adding that role to his responsibilities.
