Catholic Health Association Statement on the Election of Roslyn M. Brock to Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC (February 22, 2010) — The following statement is being released by Sr. Carol Keehan, DC, president and chief executive office of the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA):

The Catholic Health Association congratulates Roslyn Brock on her election to Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors.

Ms. Brock serves as a member of the Catholic Health Association's Board of Trustees and holds the position of Vice President, Advocacy and Government Relations, at Bon Secours Health System, Inc., Marriottsville, MD, a Catholic Health Association member organization.

I join with colleagues throughout the Catholic health ministry in wishing Ms. Brock continued blessings as she assumes the additional duties on behalf of the NAACP and its supporters nationwide.

Ms. Brock's enthusiasm coupled with her competence and integrity have defined her many contributions to the Catholic health ministry and the people we serve. These outstanding attributes will certainly benefit the NAACP in the coming months and years. Her leadership abilities and professional endeavors will contribute greatly to the efforts of the NAACP to address the critical social and health needs of this nation and its people.
