- The cultural competence of our foundresses and founders – what from our heritage is calling forth revisiting our approach to partnership as we work to improve access to care for our global brothers and sisters

What is today asking of those faith-based institutions working on large scale global projects? This session will share the strategies leading the Church's international outreach organization for the U.S. – Catholic Relief Services. The session will highlight:
- The heritage of CRS – how its founding speaks to its role today in larger-scale programs
- The current climate for CRS as a faith-based non-governmental organization fulfilling the mission through the lens of having a new administration in place
- Potential projects where Catholic health care organizations can partner to help CRS fulfill its mission along with considerations for how our work dovetails in the countries in which we serve, including information about health care groups traveling to countries and any pre or post trip communications with CRS country directors

- Insight into what was happening publicly and even behind closed doors during Mr. Natsios' career at USAID that can offer insights into today's closed-door decision making
- Thoughts on any philosophical shifts as well as actual activity and funding shifts that have taken place over his career and the various administrations it covered
- The perspective having a career in this field provides on today's national and geo-political reality

- How GDAs have been USAID's premier model for public-private partnerships, helping to improve the social and economic conditions in developing countries and deepen USAID's development impact
- Requirements – and a perspective on how that could be challenging as a ministry made up of many individual organizations

This session will provide a glimpse into several organizations existing efforts in Haiti as a means of opening dialogue on our role in this country's health care access. The session will highlight:

- The large picture of faith-based practices in Haiti
- Potential points of connection CHA members can have in country/regions of Haiti

Regional Leaders' Response
If one was to sit outside of the international airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, how many groups would be seen entering or exiting the country related to short-term medical missions, and with that in mind, is all of this activity improving access opportunities and the health and wellness of Haiti's women, men and children.
In this session, hear insights from those who receive U.S. medical volunteers and educators while serving in leadership of critical medical access points for the poorest and most vulnerable Haitians.
